HOUSTON – The Houston Independent School District is holding a job fair this Saturday aimed at filling the hundreds of positions that are available.
The event will take place at the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center, located at 4400 West 18th Street, and will also be held virtually through Microsoft Bookings.
HISD is looking to hire teachers, assistant principals, counselors, librarians, nurses, teaching assistants, as well as administrative staff.
The school board approved this Thursday the hiring of non-certified teachers to fill about 67 vacancies available only for those functions.

Those interested must register in advance, as they will receive an email with the invitation before 5 pm this Friday, August 11.
The event will not be open to anyone who has had a previous job offer with HISD for the 2023-2024 year.
The physical event will take place between 9 am and 1 pm.
