Just a few days ago Hogwarts legacy after the original release in February it’s now also making its way to the Last Gen Consoles Found PS4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version will come out a little later, with a release scheduled for July 25, 2023. In line with the release for two new (old) consoles, Warner Bros. now has one big announcement around Hogwarts Legacy for May 9th. Also included is him Actor from Draco Malfoy from the “Harry Potter” movies, Tom Felton. What does it have to do with the mysterious announcement and may we know soon DLC before?
Draco Malfoy teases big announcement
The makers of Hogwarts Legacy (buy now €65.99 / €53.99 )Warner Bros Games, have confirmed that an actor starring in the “Harry Potter” movies played an important role will also have something to do with the game. What exactly that is supposed to be will be revealed next Tuesday, which would be May 9, 2023. WBGames has now posted a video on TikTok featuring Tom Felton, the Actor from Draco Malfoy looks from the movies.
In the description one reads: “So that’s right. Tom Felton has come to Hogwarts. Be sure to check back on May 9th at 9:00am PT to see it.”. In the video, Felton sits in relative darkness, with light only falling on one side of his face. An audio clip from the game plays, in which Hogwarts Legacy’s Slytherin companion, Sebastian Sallow, gives the player his obligatory introduction.
As an eerie violin screeches, the light falls on Felton, who turns to face the camera and returns the greeting with a “Hello, Sebastian.” After that, a text will appear and you can read the mysterious sentence “Into the Shadows With Tom Felton” and read an upcoming announcement for May 9th.
Hogwarts Legacy DLC coming?
Despite the announcement that Draco Malfoy has anything to do with Hogwarts Legacy, it’s very unlikely that he’ll make an in-game appearance directly. After all, this takes place almost a hundred years before the events of Harry Potter. However, there is Play “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” several Slytherin students, including Draco Malfoy, messing around with dangerous experiments on the timeline. So it could very well be that there is still some connection between the Broadway play and Hogwarts Legacy.
So whether the announcement is a full-fledged expansion for Hogwarts Legacy is in the form of a DLC is not entirely clear. After all, shortly after the release, the developers actually ruled out releasing any DLC for the game at all. But after that immense success Hogwarts Legacy, which only broke the one billion dollar turnover a few days ago, Warner Bros. will also ask themselves whether it wouldn’t be more profitable to publish an expansion for the game after all.
Hogwarts Legacy was released on February 7th, 2023 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series. The “Harry Potter” game can also be played on the last-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One since May 5, 2023. Only Nintendo fans will have to wait a little longer, for Switch owners the magical adventure won’t start until July 25, 2023.
