Multiple treasures await you in Hogwarts Legacy. The map is notably dotted with chests that contain galleons or skins. In this article, we will reveal the location of the chests that appear in the wake of the butterflies.
Hogwarts Legacy is all about exploration. You must search Hogwarts and its surroundings from top to bottom to find the loot hidden there. Chests overhung by one eye can be accessed by casting the Disillusionment spell, which will make you invisible. You have to solve encrypted puzzles to open the doors of arithmancy. But what about collectible chests?
These particular chests contain skins (wand handles, furniture for the Room of Requirement, equipment attributes). They appear on the map when you are in their vicinity. However, some are more difficult to find, such as chests generated by butterflies. These form swarms. When you approach them, they start spinning very quickly before revealing a hidden chest.

How to find butterfly chests in Hogwars Legacy?
You must have completed the side quest “Follow the butterflies” (accessible after the main quest “The Room of Requirement”) that you can start at the Three Broomsticks of Hogsmeade by talking with Clémentine Willardsey. Once done, butterfly icons will appear on the map only when you are in their immediate vicinity. So you have to be quick and follow them quickly to access the treasure.
