This situation is reflected in all cities and towns throughout the entire national territory; in which each part of the country presents a very particular way of remembering and reliving the life, passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, for many the Son of God.
One of those cities in which this celebration becomes the most important thing during all these days is ayacucho.
And it is that in the call ‘City of Churches’ There are different activities that make Holy Week an experience that not only the Catholic faithful would like to live in a place like this, but also many tourists who come to this point to live a true religious experience.
Precisely on the last day of the Easter One of the best-known manifestations of Ayacucho and of the entire Peru takes place, which is the procession of the Lord of Easter of Resurrection.
This fact is a classic in Ayacucho lands, since Resurrection Sunday always comes out, from very early hours, from the city cathedral and he walks the main streets, before a huge crowd that follows in his footsteps, singing various related songs, praying and reading various passages from the Bible.
Another detail is that on his way, the sacred image of the Easter Lord of Resurrection He meets the famous floral carpets that hundreds of artists have drawn in his honor throughout his career and that this year have been full of controversy, since many remembering the fatalities of the marches that took place a few weeks ago against the current government.
But without a doubt, one of the events that most attracts the attention of the faithful and visitors to the city of Ayacucho during these festivities is the enormous platform that is built every year for the procession of the Lord of Easter of Resurrection.
The person in charge of manufacturing this true work of art is Victor Hurtado Castroa craftsman who has been responsible for making the scaffolding for 50 years.
Clearly, he does not do it alone, rather it is a family tradition, since his ten children also help build the anda. Don Víctor is only in charge of embellishing the adornment that they themselves made with wax.
But this is a task from one day to the next, because for everything to be ready for a day like today, apart from hard work, it took up to three months to get it ready.
Adding the anda and the image of the Risen Christ, the anda is eleven meters high, five meters long and weighs approximately 12 tons.
That is why in order to load it and move the image through the main streets of Ayacucho, an average of more than almost 700 people.
