But there was more. By dozens. And each one did nothing more than horrify the witnesses who said them when they recalled what they experienced on that tragic day of January 18, 2020 in Villa Gesell.
It could be said that this has been the common denominator of the statements that have been heard so far. The viciousness, the savagery, the brutality of the aggression, which ended with the death of the victim.
On the fourth day of the trial that takes place before the Oral Criminal Court 1 of Dolores and, which has eight defendants sitting in the dock, who yesterday, for the first time, appeared in the courtroom without a mask The first to declare was Tomás Bidonde, who described the scene in which he located Thomsen (23) at the time of the attack: “When I see him from the front, he is hitting, hitting the boy who later dies, and I remember that almost at At the end, he kicked him twice in the head, like punches, and then I remember that he grabbed him by the head and kicked him again two or three times.”
The young man then mentioned that Ciro Pertossi (22) also hit Fernando “in the back and side” when he was on the floor, in the first timely reference to this defendant by a witness since the start of the trial.
Although he did not specify their names, he pointed out that at least two others attacked Báez Sosa.
Then Tatiana Caro gave her testimony, who witnessed the attack while she was in the “Beerland” bar, located next to “Le Brique”, and said that Fernando “was standing and they hit him from behind”, and that he received “a blow to the head”.
He pointed out that, after being knocked down, the young man tried to get up, but could not do so because “they never stopped hitting him”, and pointed out that a “blonde boy” wearing a “dark shirt” continued “kicking him in the body”.
“They were beating him like a bag of potatoes,” he said, identifying one of the Pertossi as one of the attackers, although without specifying his name.

“They wouldn’t stop for a second,” Virginia said, adding that one of the attackers “in particular was a beast.”
At the end of her testimony, the young woman hugged Fernando’s parents, Graciela Sosa Osorio and Silvino Báez, and the three of them cried together.
While in the afternoon three civilians testified, among them, the newsstand Sebastián Saldaño, who assured that the attack “was to hit until he didn’t get up anymore” and identified Thomsen as the one who gave him “a kick in the head.”
Lastly, Fernando Burlando, lawyer for the victim’s parents, told the press yesterday that the witnesses spoke of “unusual violence” and that there was “a massacre in a raid.”
