The famous program true crimes (true crimes) Direct line already has a confirmed date to return to the screens of TV Globo. The attraction opens on Thursday, May 4thright after the Holliudy Cinema. With weekly exhibitions, the journalistic program will have a new format and will be presented by Pedro Bial.
According to the official synopsis, Direct line it will maintain its investigative character and will also have a narrative structure that combines presentation, reporting, interviews and simulations of cases that have gained prominence in Brazilian society over the last 15 years.
In addition, the program will have multiple platforms to disseminate the content, one of which is the podcast. O Direct Line Podcast will bring extra content, with the presenter’s impressions and behind-the-scenes testimonials experienced by scriptwriters, researchers and the program’s production. Episodes will always be released on Fridays—the day after the show airs on television.

In addition to being multiplatform, the Direct line will also have the help of technology with the addition of expert reports in 3D and the inclusion of video images from security cameras and captured by cell phones.

This hyperconnection that we experience today had not yet been consolidated at that time, and this also has implications and consequences for our language. As in the previous version, this new stage will feature actors dramatizing both solved crimes and those that remain unsolved in court. In addition, Bial will also eventually interview characters and/or witnesses who had connections with the victims and who can deepen the stories through their testimonies.
Marcel Souto Maior, the program’s editor, confirmed that society’s participation will continue to be important and that viewers will be able to make complaints.
“We will continue to call on the public to give us clues that lead to the arrest of fugitives from justice, but it has another very significant mission, which is to light up warning signs and indicate paths for those who are at home watching the program, and that goes far beyond arresting fugitives.”
