La Plata added this Tuesday 36 new police mobiles that will be used to reinforce public safety within the framework of efforts against crime carried out jointly between the Province and the Municipality, from a table made up of the ministries of Justice, Security and the municipal Executive.

It’s all about vans Ford Ranger fully equipped that were presented during an act that was attended by the Minister of Justice and Human Rights, Julio Alak; the Minister of Security, Sergio Berni; and the mayor of La Plata, Julio Garro. “Security is a problem for citizens beyond officials. We all know that one day we are no more and that the most important thing is the people. That is why we agreed to work in a more organized way, with a table, with a police chief who is responsible for carrying out security tasks in the city,” explained the La Plata community chief.

According to official sources detailed to 0221.com, 20 vans will go to the Patrol Command, while the remaining 16 will each go to the police stations that operate in the city as part of the local Safety Plan. The mobiles join the 20 BMW motorcycles that were incorporated in November when the two bases of the Motorized Prevention Group (GPM) were opened in La Plata, one in Villa Elisa and the other in Melchor Romero.

The vehicles will be added to the more than 1,200 cameras that the Municipality has installed in different locations in the District, the security booths in green spaces, the incorporation of LED lights on public roads, among other actions that allow optimization of monitoring tasks and control in neighborhoods through the intelligent prevention network.

“We are in different places politically, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have a responsibility to work with our people”Garro added, noting the objectives set to improve the security situation within La Plata. “Security is the main concern of residents today. And the only way to respond to that concern is this: by working together at the different levels of government, Province and Municipality”he added.

The Community Chief also considered that “there is no possible security policy without investment. To improve day by day and bring an effective presence to the different neighborhoods of the city we need resources. That is why this delivery of new mobiles is so important to us. This It is the way”.

It should be remembered that in April 2021, the Government of Axel Kicillof delivered 60 mobiles to the city, intended for patrolling throughout the Municipality to try to control criminal activity, and now they will seek to reinforce that aspect.
