At least three people have been injured, while several hundred have had to be evacuated due to the fire that is raging on the Italian island of sardiniawhere the firefighting teams have resumed work on Monday to control the numerous fires registered in the last hours.

Two seaplanes and several helicopters have flown over Podasa, in the northeast, since dawn, where dozens of forest guards, firefighters and members of Civil protection to put out the violent fire that broke out in the area, although their work is being hampered by the strong Mistral wind that blows across the island.

The fire has caused minor injuries to two residents, hit by the explosions of gas cylinders in their homes, which were set on fire, as well as several farms, while some 600 people were evacuated between the towns of Monte Longu and San Giovanni and at least two roads were partially closed, according to local media.
