"I could have stayed forever" : Alison Wheeler speaks candidly about her departure from Quotidien

Absent from the band Daily this fall, comedian Alsion Wheeler explains his choice to leave the TMC show to devote himself to the stage.

The next day, this absence, which had sparked numerous reactions online, was explained by the comedian’s busy schedule. At 37 years old, according to an executive from Bangumi, the production company of Yann Barthès and Dailyit would have planned to “dedicate herself to her show and will not be present weekly this season”. Information confirmed by the main person concerned this September 19 in The Parisian.

Alison Wheeler and the “loss of bearings” without Daily

While no mention had been made of her, whether in the trailer for the new format of the show broadcast ahead of the first issue or on Yann Barthès’ set the first evening, which had raised questions from the public, we first learn that the comedian will be present this Tuesday evening on the TMC set that she knows so well… As a guest! And for good reason, she will come to talk about the creation of her first solo-on-stage, The promise of one evening, the first tickets of which will be sold this September 19. Before talking about this new life, Alison Wheeler spoke in the newspaper of this first return to school without Daily : “It’s strange, I feel like a high school student returning to college, having lost my bearings, but it’s exciting (…) I could have stayed forever but this show , it’s an investment, it was important that I devote the time necessary to develop the texts, my game”, explained the comedian. Accustomed to making millions of viewers laugh behind their screen, Alison Wheeler now wants to confront the real thrill of the stage, in front of a smaller audience.

An unforgettable and educational experience for the comedian

However, the French-Irish national is very grateful for her journey in Yann Barthès’ gang. The actress revealed by Studio Bagel recently had a weekly column there but was also able to play the role of a sassy Miss Weather: “I have enormous gratitude and joy to have shared these moments on Daily. It is learning for life, it was for me an extraordinary laboratory to explore all my desires. (…) They absolutely gave free rein to all the madness that were going through my head”, explains Alison Wheeler. The comedian also talks about his particular closeness with the talk show host: “We lived through special years like the period of confinement. It was the moment when I woven the most connections with the team. I loved coming to Yann’s buteau with a very tight lycra dress and an infamous wig while he worked with the editorial staff on important subjects. He likes to laugh, he loves it when we transgress.”
