Is Albert II mourning the time before his marriage to Charlene of Monaco? Recent statements by the Monegasque prince fuel the rumor mill.

Monaco – How is it really about the marriage of Prince Albert II (65) and the former professional swimmer Charlene Wittstock (45)? After Charlène of Monaco did not wave from the balcony with the prince and their twins Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques (8) on Albert’s 65th birthday on March 14, the palace felt compelled to deny the rumors of separation in an official statement. But now an interview by Albert provides further explosive material.

Family man and husband: does Prince Albert II feel restricted?

Albert II and Charlène have been married since 2011, and their twins were born on December 10, 2014. And although the prince is absorbed in his role as a family man, in a recent interview with the French Gala but more than a touch of melancholy when Albert thinks back to his times as a single.

“I long for my 30s, more precisely for my 40s,” said Prince Albert in an interview Gala. “I was a little freer then than I am now. I often have very strenuous weeks that you can hardly break out of.” Almost sounds like Albert II is having some kind of belated midlife crisis. It is not for nothing that he was considered one of the most sought-after bachelors until his marriage to Charlène, including affairs with Claudia Schiffer (52) and Naomi Campbell (52).

Prince Albert’s playboy years

Before his marriage to Charlene of Monaco, Albert II didn’t let anything get in the way. The eligible bachelor dated models and actresses, liked to surround himself with beautiful women. His two illegitimate children also come from his wild years. Jazmin Grace Grimaldi’s (31) mother is the waitress Tamara Rotolo, Nicole Coste, the mother of his son Alexandre Coste (19), met Albert on a flight, she used to work as a stewardess.

Prince Albert’s comments are a slap in the face to Charlene of Monaco

As head of the Grimaldi family and Prince of Monaco, Albert II has a busy schedule that leaves little time for breaks. “That’s very few moments a year for me and my family life. But you have to keep it,” emphasizes the Monegasque prince Gala-Interview. According to Albert II’s latest statements, peace will probably not return to the Principality of Monaco.
