Already dark in its mood, the tone of the movie turns gloomy when the SQUIDa technology capable of recording brain flows and playing them back through headphones, falls into the hands of illegal dealers, most notably Lenny Nero, a former policeman and authority figure turned drug dealer. One day, the latter receives a strange video that he refuses at all costs to sell. The reason ? She stages a horrible crime which is none other than the murder of one of her friends. Despite its darkness and intriguing pitch, the sauce does not take at the box office and the film is a failure. But little by little, the film, which brings together Ralph Fiennes (Harry Potter), Angela Bassett (American Horror Story), Juliet Lewis (Nerves on edge) as well as Tom Sizemore (Heat), finds favor in the eyes of the spectators who now give him a much warmer welcome than at the time.
