A motorcyclist from Puerto Iguazú died and another was injured this Tuesday after being involved in a sinister road accident on National Route 12, near the town of Itá Ibaté in Corrientes.
The event occurred at kilometer 1181 of the aforementioned national artery, 300 meters from the access to the YPF service station in Itá Ibaté, and the fatality was identified as Eduardo Enrique Mereles (42).
Upon arriving at the place, the police commission found two motorcycles on the asphalt tape, which were traveling in the same lane. The troops indicated that one of the motorcyclists apparently lost his balance and fell, sliding down the asphalt road towards the other lane, being hit by a truck.
Regarding the second motorcyclist, he also lost control, but he slid onto the shoulder of the same lane. The driver, identified as Diego A. (33), was assisted at the Immaculate Conception Hospital and then transferred to the General San Martín School Hospital in the capital of Corrientes.
