A 40-year-old man, identified as Leandro A., was arrested around 9:00 p.m. last Thursday by members of the Fourth URV section accused of threatening to kill his children and his 39-year-old common-law wife, in addition to trying to set fire to the family home in the town of Puerto Iguazú.
The victim alerted the Police of the situation through the emergency line, reporting that her partner was at home drunk, and that he had threatened to kill her and her children with a machete, in addition to the man In a fit of rage, he had tried to set fire to the house in which they live.
That is why different units of the UR-V and the Infantry Division that arrived at the scene managed to protect the family group first, then disarmed the violent man who had entrenched himself in the home.
Finally, the man was arrested and housed in police headquarters at the disposal of the Investigating Court No. 3 Iguazú. Meanwhile, the victim together with her children were assisted and contained by the Psycho-pedagogical Cabinet of the Police, also filing the complaint for the fact.
