The hit makers of “Layla” bring out the next scandalous song – and everyone celebrates again!
Weeks before the release of the song “Bumsbar” on April 28th, the new song was booming DJ Robin (27), apron (32) and Not Hüftgold (46) on the entire Ballermann from the loudspeakers. In all the clubs and alleys of Playa de Palma, Ballermann fans are singing the refrain at the top of their lungs:
“Today we’re bangable again, horny girls horny boys here…”
But why is the song so steep? Apron to BILD: “The composition is incredibly strong, the text is outstanding and the message could hardly be better. In addition, the song conveys a blatant sense of unity.”

Already in 2022 the successful trio succeeded with “ Layla says summer hit of the year. But the “Puffmama” sung in the Layla song also triggered a huge sexism debate. There were even occasional bans on playing the song. But the party people didn’t let their desire to party be banned after two years of Corona break, roared their summer hit 2022 at the top of their lungs even without music and despite the ban!
With success, the song stayed at number 1 in the “Official German Singles Chart” for nine weeks, reached over 200 million streams and was awarded five gold and two platinum awards.
With “Bumsbar” the next wave of scandals is rolling!
The word “Bumsbar” alone arouses mixed emotions in some people. But this time the scandal is not in the song lines, but in the music video! Because the makers make fun of celibacy, even inside a church, and formally portray it as sacrilege.
Instead of hosts, a priest hands out condoms in the video, Hipgold himself mimics Jesus on the cross complete with a crown of thorns, and at the end a nun is also pregnant! My dear mister singing club!
Even the cover of the single might be quite offensive to some
Ikke Hipgold on the scandalous video for BILD: “If you look at the text, there were far worse songs than ‘Bumsbar’. On the contrary, the song is about people who celebrate happily and exuberantly together and at the very end perhaps even experience their personal high point. Literally!” Hallelujah!
On the one hand, the makers seem to have learned a lesson from the almost ban on Layla, since the text of “Bumsbar” is comparatively well-behaved – which means that a ban on playing or indexing is not to be feared. On the other hand, they put the crown on the new scandal song with the music video, in this case even the crown of thorns! But what message did the makers want to convey with the video?

Hip gold on her concern to BILD: “The way the Catholic Church deals with the sexuality of its employees has and had catastrophic consequences. For the whole society. We don’t want to hurt religious feelings, but you have to be allowed to address grievances, we do that, no more and no less.”

It is also piquant that a church served as the filming location. But was the topic of the shoot agreed with the church? Hip gold adds: “Of course, nothing was agreed with the church. why? To this day, the Catholic Church resists a complete investigation into thousands of cases of abuse of defenseless children and young people. These children were not asked either.”
Does that seem like the new recipe for the hit Ballermann success: catchy melody, light lyrics and a scandal?

Even the makers are surprised by the initial success of their new hit. Shortly after the season opened, DJs and Ballermann fans seemed to agree that “Bumsbar” has what it takes to be a summer hit in 2023.

With “Bumsbar” the successful trio could actually do the double for the summer hit!
