The administrative subsidiary of the Federal Electricity Commission, CFECapitalin a presentation with investors, showed the results obtained in the first quarter of 2023, in which he stated that due to the performance of CFE Transmissionthe annualized return of the CFE FIBER E for dividends was 12.05%, a figure higher than the 7.51% registered by the Mexican FIBRAS index (FBMEX) for the same period.
In the first quarter of 2023, the sector registered a new maximum in the volumes of energy transported through the National Transmission Network (RNT), showing an increase of 3.82% compared to the same period in 2022 and 7.72% compared to 2021, exceeding the expectations of growth in the demand for electricity established in the Program for the Development of the National Electricity Sector (Prodesen) 2022-2036 of the Ministry of Energy (Sener).
These projections were estimated in a range of 2.3% to 3.2 percent.
The distribution to investors during the first quarter of 2023 related to the income of the transmission sector between December 2022 and February 2023, corresponded to the period of lower demand for electricity of the year, given the seasonality of the sector.
However, even in this context the FIBER E reached the expected distribution for the 853,195,411 stock certificates in the hands of the investing public.
The head of the Strategy and Regulation Unit of CFE Transmission, Manuel Mujica Diazpointed out that CFE Transmission has a budget that will allow it to continue with the maintenance of the facilities and the expansion of the RNT, with more transmission lines and substations.
The event was attended by national and international investors and analysts. In addition, both the Independent Directors of the Promoted Trust and CFE FIBRA E, as well as representatives of the CFE and CFE Transmisión, participated.
The general director of CFECapital, Carmen Serdán Banda, assured that CFE Transmission has carried out infrastructure projects to preserve and improve the reliability of the National Electric System.
