Meanwhile, most of those involved are old acquaintances of the police and judicial authorities, since they accumulate several cases for crimes against property.

According to official data, of the total number of detainees around 80 percent are repeat offenders.

For example, of eleven arrested by personnel from the First Section, nine have multiple criminal records.

“They are always the same,” confided a spokesperson for the force in dialogue with El Territorio.

However, in most cases they only spent a few hours behind bars, as ordered by the court in charge.

In the last week there were two cases that serve to illustrate the current situation.

On the one hand, a young man was arrested for the theft of a smart TV in the 180 Viviendas neighborhood, since his actions were recorded by security cameras in the area. The person involved was only detained for two days and was released without confessing what he did with the device.

In another event, a woman was identified in the context of a robbery to the detriment of a counter on Avenida Andresito de Oberá, where she first entered a vehicle and took the keys to the house.

Once inside the house, the person involved made cash, a notebook and a cell phone.

Although she was identified by security cameras from a neighboring workshop, at the time of being notified of the cause she suffered an alleged decomposition and the court ordered her to remain free.

He served his sentence and reoffended

In the early hours of February 3, a man who was passing through Calle 4 in the San Miguel neighborhood was assaulted and injured by four criminals. The victim was identified as Sergio Fabián R. (33), who suffered a knife cut to his face.

They stole a Xiaomi 8 brand cell phone and the wallet with his documents and two thousand pesos.

He himself appeared before the Fifth Section and filed the complaint, after which he was referred to the Samic Hospital for treatment. Within a few hours he was discharged.

Police personnel began the search for the criminals and, based on the victim’s description, around 7:20 on the same day they managed to arrest the main suspect, identified as Roberto Sebastián Bogado (28) and residing in San Miguel.

In addition, the uniformed officers kidnapped a Xiaomi 8 cell phone – with similar characteristics to the stolen one – and an El Ombú brand knife that would have been used for the robbery.

Regarding the detainee, by identifying him and checking his background, the Police verified that Bogado has a profuse criminal record and served two sentences.

Even, just five months ago, he served a sentence for an act of “qualified robbery for the use of a knife and causing serious injuries, and attempted homicide.”

For that case he spent nine years in jail (without conditional possibility for being a repeat offender) and on August 13 he was released.

Earlier, in October 2013, the same offender made headlines because he escaped from the First Section of Oberá along with five men. At that time he was detained for a cause of “attempted homicide.”

The Martinsiño case

Last week, members of the Regional Unit II seized contraband merchandise for more than six and a half million pesos.

The procedure began when the uniformed officers carried out a check on provincial route 5, Alvear height, circumstance in which they observed that two vehicles carried out evasive maneuvers and took another path.

Thus, they began a controlled follow-up to a tire shop on Avenida Guayaba, where they managed to identify a white Volkswagen Saveiro vehicle, domain AE518GW, driven by Adrián Germán M. (22) and a black Renault Sandero RS, domain AA305JZ, commanded by Lucas F. (26), who was accompanied by Maribel A. (47).

The police guarded the place and requested reinforcements from other divisions. Meanwhile, they requested a search warrant from the Federal Court, a procedure that led to the seizure of 56 covers, 10 cell phones, two motorcycle shock absorbers and 30 thermoses, among other items without customs guarantee.

The market value of the seized amounts to 6,548,074.40 pesos. Likewise, the two aforementioned vehicles were retained and they are looking for a third vehicle that fled.

During the procedure, Martín Andrés Cardozo (34), known as Martinsiño, considered the financier of smuggling, arrived at the scene. It was even he who required the presence of a lawyer at the scene.

All those involved were notified and subordinated to the cause, although the intervening court ordered that they continue at large.

Nor was it the first time that Martinsiño had problems with the law, far from it, since he has several legal cases and is known in all the Oberá police stations.

But the most important event in which he participated was judged in September 2019, when the Criminal Court One of Oberá convicted three defendants for the robbery and attempted murder to the detriment of Víctor Rosendo Álvez (40), perpetrated on January 19. of 2016 in the place La Línea, town of Panambí.

Sergio Fabián Rodríguez and Juan Darío Cardozo (Martinsiño’s brother), accused of being the material authors of the act, were sentenced to 15 years in prison for the crimes of doubly aggravated robbery for having been committed in a town and in a gang and for the use of a firearm. fire, and attempted homicide aggravated by the use of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Meanwhile, Martinsiño received a four-year prison sentence as a secondary participant in the crime of doubly aggravated robbery for having been committed in a town and in a gang and for the use of a firearm. He was considered the intellectual author of the robbery of 60,000 pesos denounced by Álvez, who suffered five bullet wounds and miraculously saved his life.

Meanwhile, at the beginning of last year, the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) reviewed the ruling and ordered the release of those convicted, considering that there were procedural errors in the investigation stage of the case.

In August, Juan Darío Cardozo was arrested again and housed at the Ruiz de Montoya police station, from where he escaped last September.

Curiously, he escaped aboard the motorcycle of one of the police officers. He was recaptured three days later in a farm in the town of General Alvear.

He robbed and injured his sister and police officers

A 20-year-old girl residing in the Molina neighborhood appeared before the Fifth Section to denounce that yesterday morning her brother Facundo O. (25) -an ex-convict- forced the door of his home and stole a pair of of your partner’s shoes and clothing.

After assaulting her and before leaving the place, the suspect threatened her saying: “I went outside, you fucking bitch, I’m going to cut your throat,” according to the victim’s complaint.

Meanwhile, at mid-morning, police personnel proceeded to identify Facundo O., who resisted arrest and injured the uniformed officers using a chain with a padlock on one end. After several minutes, the police managed to subdue the assailant.

As a sign of commitment to the work, three uniformed officers suffered injuries of varying degrees. Likewise, Mayra O., sister of the person involved, presented bruises in various parts of the body.

The defendant was housed in the Fifth Section under charges of “robbery, death threats aggravated by the bond, minor injuries and resisting authority.” The file is processed in the Investigating Court Two.
