DSince January 1, 2023, Hungarian women under the age of 30 who decide to have or adopt a child are exempt from income tax at a flat rate of 15% (ZJA). This measure is part of the pronatalist policy of the government of Viktor Orbán, set up as an example by Marine Le Pen, Jair Bolsonaro when he led Brazil or Giorgia Meloni, the president of the Italian Council. In 2020, the executive already exempted mothers of four or more children from tax.
