A family experienced a terrifying moment last Saturday morning in their house located on Route 36 at kilometer 68, Lisandro Olmos, after being surprised by four thieves who spared no physical and psychological violence to achieve their mission.
In this way, a day that was shaping up to become a moment of family communion ended up transforming into a day that for several years will be a reason for bitterness and desolation.
It’s that the family was robbed of their life savings. A total of two million pesos remained in the hands of these criminals, according to what the victim explained to the police.
According to official sources, the violent sequence occurred around 00:30 in the morning. The owner of the house explained to the uniformed officers that at that time he was resting with his family. But his sleep was interrupted by a series of noises from outside.
After these noise disturbances, the man got out of bed with the intention of going out to see what was happening on his property, but he couldn’t even get to the door.
First a loud crash was heard. It was his door that had crashed into the wall after being kicked open. A few seconds later, the homeowner was found face to face with four armed and masked intruders inside his home.
They didn’t even give the members of this family time so they could react and take shelter or notify the police.
Based on threats and insults, in a few minutes the thugs completely took control of the house.
Concluded this stage, they began the next phase: a fierce interrogation loaded with death threats against the owner of the house. Meanwhile, his family, made up of his wife and his four children, were held in one of the rooms of the house.
“Hand over the money if you don’t want to end badly,” the thieves would have demanded over and over again, assuming that there was a large sum of money in the place.
Although there is the possibility that they have arrived at the place with information, everything indicates that they used the same device that they have been applying for years in this sector against horticultural producers.
The mechanism requires that the thieves insist and also show that they are determined to do anything to get hold of the savings. After several minutes of beatings, insults, and threats, those who actually have money saved end up handing it over.
On this occasion, the intimidation was such that, much to his regret, the man ended up handing over the money he had been accumulating for some time.
In total, they took two million pesos and a cell phone. From the descriptions provided by the victims about the clothing, methods used and the behavior of the thugs during the robbery, for the investigators everything points to the so-called “polichorros” returning to their adventures.
