A serious car accident occurred east of Paris on Friday. Two vehicles crashed at around 7 p.m. near Villiers-en-Bière (Seine-et-Marne department). Four people, including a child, were seriously injured and taken to hospitals. A pregnant woman lost her unborn baby!
At the wheel of the accident car: the French actor and comedian Pierre Palmade (54). He crashed into oncoming traffic. This is reported by several French media unanimously.
Melun prosecutors have taken over the investigation and announced on Saturday that the comedian had tested positive for drugs.
“The toxicological analyzes revealed that Pierre Palmade was driving under the influence of narcotics (cocaine),” said Jean-Michel Bourlès in a press release. A case of negligent bodily harm was initiated.
Palmade is now out of danger and his house in Cély-en-Bière, France, was searched on Sunday.
Pierre Palmade made his debut as a comedian in 1988 and became one of France’s best-known comedians in the 1990s. In 2008 he was awarded the “Ordre national du Mérite”, the second highest French medal for special services.
Palmade has previously been convicted twice of possession and use of cocaine, both times he was fined. In 2019, the star spoke openly about her addiction: “Cocaine has ruined my life since I was 20.”
Now this addiction has also ruined the life of an unborn baby – and his mom.
