“I don’t feel like it anymore, I don’t want to be an artist who is fighting on stage. I’ve done my time, ”Indio Solari said in an interview he gave to a well-known Spanish radio program hosted by Mariskal Romero, a guy he had already spoken with.
Speaking briefly about his disease, Parkinson’s, the musician admitted: “I have decided for a long time, since I handed over the band, the brand, to Los Fundamentalistas, because they behaved with enthusiasm, with emotion, during 15 years that we were together”.
“I’m prepared, I’m not suffering or grieving, I don’t miss the stage very much, at times when I see the boys a little thing comes to me, but it’s not a drama,” confessed the Los Redondos stamp.
I start at the end
Indio spoke of continuing in music: “What I would not like is that at some point it would prevent me from making songs. What I like the most is making ten, twelve new songs for people to sing, and that would be hard for me to have to leave.”. And about Los Fundamentalistas, he only had praiseworthy words: “But I’m calm, because the guys are doing a very good live show, it’s a band that sounds like a motherfucker and I love them so much that I enjoy them.”
And he concluded: “I am seeing musicians who interpret my songs better than me, so It seems to me that it is time to back off a bit and dedicate yourself to being a ‘consigliere’ and stop bothering young people because one ends up being a stopper”.
The networks reacted with deep love:
He @Indio_Solari_ok He has just announced that he is retiring from the stage. Absolute icon, light years away from anything I have ever seen live in Argentina.pic.twitter.com/BE8In3aCxs
