The founder of the Arsenal de Zárate Yacht Club had defended the accused at the time, saying that “It was an accident”, however today, the entity took off and annulled the possibility that any of the defendants become a member of the club again.

After the commotion generated by the statements of the founder of the Club Náutico Arsenal de Zárate (CNAZ), where some of the eight rugby players accused of murdering Fernando Báez Sosa played, in which he defended the accused, the institution came out to detach itself from the said and stated that they are no longer part of the community.

“Unfortunately there are fights, there were and they will continue to be. It was an accident. To say that these boys form a group that went to kill is a complete antics”, said the founder of the CNAZ, Bernardo Ditges, two days ago in dialogue with Radio con Vos.

Statement: “We are totally oblivious to the events that occurred in Villa Gesell”

The entity’s Board of Directors expressed in a statement issued in the last few hours that “as an institution we are totally oblivious to the events that occurred in Villa Gesell and that it is not real that the 10 accused were members and practiced a sport in the club.” He clarified that only three of the defendants participated in activities at Náutico Arsenal as partners, and that they later left for personal reasons, without naming them. They are Máximo Thomsen, Ciro Pertossi and Lucas Pertossi, among the most complicated in the file.
