At the 154th annual general meeting, the Hohenems fire brigade also looked back on the year 2022.

Hohenems. At the 154th annual general meeting of the Hohenems volunteer fire brigade, which took place in the fire brigade equipment house last weekend, commander Mathias Österle referred to an impressive balance sheet over the past year.

Maximum number of hours worked

Numerous guests of honor, including Mayor Dieter Egger, Claudia Feuerstein, district fire service inspector Martin Kisser, chief inspector Helmut Loacker, district representative Wolfgang Fetz, section fire inspector Guntram Heinzle, commander of the security guard Dieter Heinzle and representatives of the blue light organizations and adjacent fire brigades were given an insight into the work carried out at the annual general meeting Hohenems fire brigade last year. With 246 missions, it was again a very intensive year for the Emser Wehrmacht members and the total hourly effort of 17,024 hours worked voluntarily reached a new high. The heavy rain event in August with 86 deployments made a significant contribution to this.

Outstanding work in the fire brigade youth

The leadership of the Hohenems leadership was also satisfied with the development of the team. The fire brigade in the Nibelungenstadt currently has a total of 124 members – 85 of whom are active members. “This positive development is mainly due to the excellent work in the youth fire brigade under the direction of Thomas Marte,” says Commander Österle. Deserving members were also honored at the Annual General Meeting, and Karl Fussenegger (25 years old), Hubert Linder (40 years old), Josef Hirschmann (60 years old) and Guntram Nigsch (60 years old) received appropriate recognition. Andreas Vogel and Guntram Heinzle also received awards for special services in the fire service. MIMA
