Scientific data estimate that the Earth is over 4.5 billion years old. Throughout its history, the world we inhabit has changed a lot. Even the formation of the continents is something “new” if we compare the time of existence of this rocky body.
Different species have inhabited and ruled it. They have known how to adapt to the conditions for the development of life as we know it.
And although the air is practically the same, the water flows in the same way through the flows, the advancement of humanity has influenced (and sometimes affected) the appearance of the world. Scientists try to go as far back in our history, but they don’t even come close to those more than 4,500 years of history.
However, with the information they have managed to collect, in which they have data on what the Earth was like about 750 million years ago, a scientific team uploaded a website to the Internet that shows you what the planet was like before in the place where you live now
What was the planet like before?
Separate continents as we know them did not exist millions of years ago. Before we were a single and enormous island surrounded by water; a supercontinent that experts call Pangea.
The tectonic plates gradually separated (they continue to do so) until the distribution of land that we see today was formalized.
According to what you review gizmodoan expert named Ian Webster grabbed CR Scotese’s plate tectonic data and paleogeographic maps from the PALEOMAP Project and uploaded the timeline on a website he named Dinosaur Pictures.
Its operation is simple. You enter, put any address and it takes you directly to the region. There are options ranging from 20 million years ago to 750 million years ago.
Depending on what you choose, the same site informs you of the animals that inhabited it, the flora, fauna and the types of dinosaurs that were there, if that is the case at the time.
For example, in my case, 750 million years ago the place where I live was the mainland with the coast far away. Whereas 20 million years ago it was pure water, and now it is clearly land with a nearby shoreline.
