Recalling the normalization in 2020 of relations with three Arab countries, which he described as “the dawn of a new era”, he estimated that “we are close to an even more spectacular evolution, to a historic peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia”.

The Saudi crown prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, nicknamed MBS, also recently stated, in an interview given to the American television Fox News, that the Sunni monarchy and the Jewish state “get closer every day” to a normalization of their relations.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas warned on Thursday that there will be no peace in the Near and Middle East if the “legitimate rights” of his people are not taken into account, meaning the application of a two-state solution, AFP recalls.

Netanyahu: “I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons”

Iran must face a “credible” threat to stop its nuclear program, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also said at the UN.

“As long as I am prime minister of Israel, I will do everything in my power to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons,” the prime minister promised.

In his speech at the UN, he declared that “above all, Iran must face a credible nuclear threat.”

The text of the speech mentioned a credible “military” threat against Iran’s nuclear program, and not a “nuclear one,” the prime minister’s office assured, citing “a misinterpretation.”
