The Police of the province of Buenos Aires detained “El Peladito”, a dangerous thief from the region whose record includes the shooting robbery of Mateu de Diagonal 80, in September of last year.
The arrest occurred this last Monday at 13 and 96 in Ensenada, and the title of the cases that he will now face in court are “robbery in a motor vehicle, attack and resistance to authority, abuse of weapons, active capture for the crime of attempted homicide aggravated by the use of a weapon, capture for evasion of Unit 9 of La Plataand detention for the crime of qualified robbery (entrance)”. This is specified in the police report.
The detainee is called Alexis Javier Martinez and is 22 years old. The arrest occurred after a series of intelligence work between the security forces of La Plata and Ensenada, with investigators and detectives, who managed to reach the whereabouts after interviewing several witnesses and reviewing security cameras from different areas of the region. They had been looking for “El Peladito” for several months and for various events in which he was the protagonist.
This criminal specialized in robberies of premises and homes at gunpoint and then escaped on high-capacity motorcycles, always accompanied in most cases by Augustine Fredesthe fugitive they are currently looking for.
The capture occurred after a manhunt that began at the SIDERAR factory in Ensenada. The Police chased the motorcycle on which “El Peladito” was riding along with another accomplice, in the direction of the Los Patos lagoon, to then resume diagonal 74 to the Punta Lara roundabout. There they collided with a car and ran out shooting at the patrol cars. They hid in two different houses: they could only find Martínez. Fredes is still on the run.
