I don’t know if it happens to you, but as soon as I find out that a movie is about travel or time loops, it happens to become a top priority on my list of pending films. If there are still good doses of comedy, absurdity and good performances on top, we already have the film session scheduled.
The film that we recommend for this weekend and that goes very well with the summer tune is Palm Springs. We are talking about a film that mixes science fiction, comedy and romance that was released three years ago and includes JK Simmons, Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti, among others. It has been directed by Max Barbakow at its premiere leading a feature film.
The proposal takes us to Palm Springs, the actual location that gives its name to the production -although the filming was done in Los Angeles due to the cost of filming in the city of Riverside County- during a wedding. The contest is of little importance, because we will quickly discover that our two protagonists are immersed in a time loop from which they are unable to escape.
In fact, they give up trying and start having a great time taking advantage of their knowledge of all the situations that happen throughout the day. The events are only restarted when they fall asleep or when they die, so you can already get an idea of the amount of crazy scenes it has Palm Springs.
