It is already on Saturday night that the winner of the 67th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest, which takes place in Liverpool, in the United Kingdom, will be chosen. In total, they are 26 countries entered the competition, including Portugal – with Mimicat and ‘Ai Coração’ -, but the main bookmakers have already decided on the potential winners for a long time.

According to the website eurovisionworldwhich brings together the main bookmakers, the Sweden has led the preferences since the singer Loreen and ‘Tattoo’ won the Melodifestivalen (the equivalent of the Festival da Canção). The singer even won the contest in 2012, with ‘Euphoria’.

Portugal, after qualifying for the final, has fluctuated between 24th and 25th position, just behind Albania and Lithuania.

It should be noted that the bettors were correct in all ten finalists in the first semifinal and in nine in the second.

The 26 countries competing are, in order of appearance: Austria, Portugal, Switzerland, Poland, Serbia, France, Cyprus, Spain, Sweden, Albania, Italy, Estonia, Finland, Czech Republic, Australia, Belgium, Armenia, Moldova, Ukraine , Norway, Germany, Lithuania, Israel, Slovenia, Croatia and the United Kingdom.

Although the Ukrainian band Kalush Orchestra won last year’s edition and the rules dictate that the winning country hosts the contest the following year, this did not happen due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The festival then takes place in Liverpool, UK – last year’s runner-up.
