A total of 20 seasons and over 450 episodes mean that viewers of “Navy CIS” simply can’t get enough. The first episode aired on September 23, 2003 on CBS. German television viewers had to wait until March 17, 2005 before they were allowed to follow the thrilling US crime series on Sat.1. An end to the series is not yet in sight. On February 22, it was announced that CBS had renewed for another season.
“Navy CIS” takes place in Washington DC and shows the tasks of the Naval Criminal Investigate Service. He solves crimes involving members of the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. The series has so captivated viewers that it has even spawned offshoots such as Navy CIS LA, Navy CIS: New Orleans, and Navy CIS: Hawaii.
Two and a Half Men
On September 22, 2003, the first episode of “Two and a Half Man” flickered across the screen in the United States. On March 12th, 2005 the time had come in Germany. For eight seasons, Charlie Sheen wowed audiences as the apron-hugging, hard-drinking playboy Charlie Harper. He then died a serial death after quarrels with the production company and was replaced by Ashton Kutcher, who plays Internet billionaire Walden Schmidt.
Kutcher could not build on Sheen’s success. In February 2025, the series was canceled after twelve seasons.
One Tree Hill
Although the US series “One Tree Hill” first aired in Germany in 2007, US viewers were able to enjoy it from September 23, 2003. The series follows the lives of half brothers Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) who live in the small town of Tree Hill.
The trials and tribulations of the protagonists were portrayed so successfully that the viewers were captivated. A total of nine episodes were produced before the series ended in 2012.
In “Arrested Development” main character Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) has to deal with a real challenge. His father George was arrested for investment fraud. Now it’s up to Michael to save his father’s company and keep the family together.
The comedy series, which aired on Fox in the US from 2003 and on Comedy Central in Germany from 2007, was well received by audiences. A total of five seasons with a total of 84 episodes were produced.
OC California

Nip/Tuck – Beauty comes at a price
