Princess Kate allowed a rare look behind the scenes of royal life at an official appointment. There is something the 41-year-old still has to learn.
Through her relationship with the British heir to the throne Prince William, Princess Kate has been part of the royal family for years. Public appearances are part of her everyday work as a Senior Royal. She also completed one of these on Tuesday in the English cities of Bath and Bristol. The 41-year-old surprisingly revealed personal details and also spoke about how challenging her role is.
According to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, the noblewoman said that she first had to learn her role. “It’s a struggle to know that you can be accepted and fit in, but at the same time you have to learn every day,” quoted Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes, who was also present, the princess. Speaking in public is also something that Kate still has to learn.
According to those present, Kate also revealed that she never thought about becoming part of the British royal family at the time – until she finally fell in love with Prince William.
Kate and William met in college in 2001 and later became a couple. In the meantime, there was a separation before the two found each other again a short time later. They got engaged in 2010 and married a year later. Today they are parents to three children – Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, who is a year younger, and Prince Louis, who is now five years old.
