The review of Hogwarts Legacy published by Wired USA has reopened the Pandora’s box of controversy that has hit the Harry Potter saga at regular intervals over the years.

Among these, even the accusation of offering one has peeped out narrative with anti-Semitic roots. A strong and serious accusation, which did not fail to spark a heated debate both among the public and among professionals. The stance – which reflects a minority vision to say the least – towards Hogwarts Legacy has prompted many personalities in the sector to expose themselves with public statements.

Among these, we now find also Jason Schreierformer editor-in-chief of Kotaku and currently signed by Bloomberg. Always engaged in the analysis of the social and political aspect of the videogame medium, the journalist has published a series of Tweets on the subject. In the tweets – which you can find at the bottom of this news – Jason Schreier defends the Action RPG of Avalanche from the serious allegations of Wired USA.

Now that I’ve played most of Hogwarts Legacy, – writes the journalist – I can assure you that the story is not anti-Semiticbut just plain boring“. On the more purely playful front, Schreier praises the reconstruction of Hogwarts castle proposed by the game, which shines above all on the front of the artistic direction. On the contrary, he concludes, “the combat system is repetitive and unwieldy. Also, as with most games today, the whole thing is overly stretched out“.

Debuting on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Hogwarts Legacy will soon also be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
