Jean Pizarro wins gold in compound archery in San Salvador 2023

the archer Jean Pizarro awarded the 21st gold medal to the Delegation of Puerto Rico, on the penultimate day of the XXIV Central American and Caribbean Games San Salvador 2023.

“This means a lot, because since Mayagüez 2010 I have caught so much song. It has not happened to me in other Central Americans. We work hard for this. We had to reach World Cup podiums to ensure this. We are super happy”, said tearfully, Pizarro.

The sought-after World Cup athlete achieved the golden feat by defeating Colombian Jagdeep Mejía Singh, 144-148. In the semifinal series, Pizarro eliminated Mexican Miguel Becerra, 146-145. This competition started on Sunday, July 3rd. In his passing he had to beat his fellow Puerto Rican Jandre Ávila (147-144), the Salvadoran Ángel Miguel Veliz (147-145) and the Colombian Daniel Muños (146-143).

Pizarro was a candidate for standard-bearer for the San Salvador 2023 Delegation and is the president of the Archery Federation.
