They investigate the death of a member of the Mexican Electoral Tribunal

In Mexico, the first non-binary person to be a member of the Aguascalientes Electoral Tribunal was found dead.

This was reported by the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection of Mexico, Rosa Icela Rodríguez.

The official declared that an investigation will be carried out into the incident, since it cannot yet be determined whether it is a homicide or an accident.

The local prosecutor’s office reported that Baena Saucedo and the person, who until now has been identified as his partner, were found dead by service personnel yesterday morning in the home where they cohabited.

They added that no evidence was found that a third person had entered the place.

In the house, blood stains were found on both floors, razor blades, and wounds apparently caused by a sharp weapon on the bodies of the victims.

The prosecution investigates the discovery from a gender perspective, because Baena Saucedo identified as a non-binary person.
