Providence police say a bank vault was broken into

Providence, Rhode Island police said a bank vault had been broken into.

A call came in around 2 a.m. for Banco Santander at 280 Atwells Ave., reports WJAR.

Security video showed two suspects entering an access code and entering the bank.

The suspects were seen leaving with a red suitcase and a white bag.

Police said a “large amount of money” was stolen.

The bank will be closed and the police are on the scene.

No arrests have been made.
