Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas were initially able to come to an agreement in the dispute over the whereabouts of their children. However, a Hollywood War of the Roses does not yet seem to be ruled out.

It could be Hollywood’s next big divorce battle: After four years of marriage and two children together, Sophie Turner, 27, and Joe Jonas, 34, have separated. According to media reports, the musician filed for divorce at the beginning of September. Shortly afterwards, the actress sued her ex, claiming that he wanted to prevent their two daughters from moving to England with her. He himself vehemently rejected the allegations. Now, however, the two stars are said to have finally come to an agreement in the bitter dispute over their children.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas: Their children will initially stay in New York

As can be seen from court documents available to “People”, among others, Turner and Jonas have agreed that the two daughters will initially stay in New York. A preliminary injunction stipulated that the “Game of Thrones” star and the “Jonas Brothers” singer are obliged to keep their children in the southern and eastern boroughs of New York, which include New York City, Long Island and include the Hudson Valley.

According to People, both parties agreed to this court order. Parents are prohibited from taking the children outside of these districts until a further hearing. In the event of a violation of this regulation, the court has the right to “take or cause to be taken measures under federal or state law in order to protect the well-being of the child concerned or to allow the child to be further removed or hidden before the final decision on the application is made prevent it,” the court documents continue. Apparently the last word has not yet been spoken.

Did Joe Jonas withhold the children’s passports?

A few days earlier, Sophie Turner had sued her husband for unlawful retention of their daughters because he withheld their passports and prevented them from returning to England. According to the British-born woman, she and the musician decided to make England their “eternal home” in discussions that took place over Christmas last year.

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas tied the knot in 2019 after around three years of dating. Daughter Willa is now three years old. Their second daughter was born in July 2022; the girl’s name is not yet publicly known.
