Johnny Ruffo, singer and X Factor contestant, dies at 35 from a brain tumor

The world of music and entertainment is in mourning. He singer and X Factor contestant, Johnny Ruffohas died at the age of 35 due to a tumor cerebral that they detected him in 2017, as his relatives reported this Friday through their social networks.

Today we had to say goodbye to our dear Johnny with a heavy heart. Surrounded by his partner Tahnee and his family, Johnny left peacefully with the support of some incredible nurses and doctors. He was a very talented, charming and sometimes cheeky boy. He was very determined and had a great will. He fought until the end and fought as hard as he could.. Such a beautiful soul with so much more to give. We all love you Johnny and will remember you for all the joy you brought to our lives. Rest in peace, they wrote in a post they published on their Instagram profile.

A career in music and television

The singer had an electro-pop band called Supanovawith which he jumped into the fame in Australia in 2011a moment in which he appeared in the television contest Factor Xwhich was then going through its third season, and where it remained in third position.

In fact, thanks to his premiere on television, he began to work on different programs, serving as co-host on the radio program Novas Fresh Hitsparticipating in 2012 in the contest Dancing with the Stars and Australias Got Talentand presenting the program The X Stream. In addition to serving as a presenter and contestant, he also took his career to interpretationacting in the Australian series Home And Awaywhere he played Chris Harrington from 2013 to 2016. A year later, he participated in the miniseries House of Bondand in 2020 it reappeared on the small screen in Neighbours.

Regarding the musical world, Johnny Ruffo shone on stage with several singles, and with concert performances with renowned bands such as Backstreet Boys, One Direction and New Kids on the Block.

A career that stopped in 2017, when he announced that he had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. After undergoing surgery to remove it, the cancer remitted, but only a few months later it returned aggressively. It was in August of this same year when the singer announced that his diagnosis was terminal.
