“You have messed up a lot. Here are 75,000 people standing up for you. And tomorrow, an entire country will take to the streets.” Jorge Vilda’s message in the group of champions was barely heard over the noise in a stadium that was celebrating the title of world champions in Spain.
The coach was emotional in words to RTVE: “Very proud of this team. We have shown how to play, we have known how to suffer”Vilda said
This is how Vilda celebrated the title as soon as the end of the match was whistled: “When I turned around and saw my wife and daughter…”.
“What’s left for you is to celebrate. We’re going to start celebrating now and we don’t know when we’ll finish. You couldn’t ask for more.”affirmed the excited coach.
