The second vice president of Boca Juniors and former midfielder, Juan Román Riquelme will launch tomorrow with his own political group with the intention of running as a candidate for president of Boca Juniors in the elections at the end of 2023. The group will be called “Soy bostero”.

As part of the Christmas toast with the xeneize clubs, Riquelme announced that he will present his own group, something that will formally take place tomorrow at 6:00 p.m. in the Bombonera parking lot.

This group will be the sixteenth to inhabit the political present of the “xeneize” entity. To formalize a political party, it is necessary to have a significant number of partner signatures that support it. In principle, the former midfielder obtained, essentially from those same clubs and different subsidiaries, between 8,000 and 9,000 signatures.

Riquelme entered the club’s politics on December 8, 2019, when the formula was imposed Jorge Ameal-Mario Pergoliniwho later resigned and the former soccer player was appointed as second vice president and in charge of the soccer area.

The next elections in the Ribera club will take place in December 2023.
