There was a wine tasting for the “Muntafuner Wii” at the district music festival

The Bürgermusik St. Gallenkirch is celebrating its 100th anniversary at the 37th Montafon District Music Festival this summer with its own festival wine. The so-called “Muntafuner Wii” was created in cooperation with the Generali Winzer-Initiative Probus and the Weinviertel wine route. Recently, a public jury determined the winning wines from 13 white wines and four red wines in the final tasting in the community hall in St. Gallenkirch. The Weinviertel DAC Ried Saurüssel 2022 from the Roman Degn winery in Hohenruppersdorf and the Blaue Portugieser 2021 from the Josef Diem winery in Zellerndorf will be served as festival wines. Stefan Marlin, chairman of the Bürgermusik St. Gallenkirch, is delighted with the anniversary wine: “The “Muntafuner Wii” will enrich our Montafon district music festival in terms of wine and cuisine. With this cooperation, we are also able to build a bridge between our valley and Austria’s largest wine-growing region.”

In addition to Harry and Veronika Rudigier, Carola Ganahl and Erika Kasper as well as the two restaurateurs Markus Stemer and Markus Felbermayer enjoyed the amusing wine tasting. The various good wines were also tasted by mayor Josef Lechthaler, district chairman of the brass band Thomas Rudigier and former chairman of the Schruns harmony band Thomas Zudrell. Wine connoisseurs Julia Sole, Willi Hirsch and Hanni Jenny, who are all true someliers, were full of praise for the different flavors of the red and white wines on offer. In addition, Alexandra Mohr, Martin Tschofen and Alexander Feuerstein from Bregenzer Wein had a great chat with Christian and Ariane Novak from Generali Versicherung.
