Kamala Harris with the lowest approval rating of any vice president

During a recent interview with ABC News, she was pointed to the polls that have her with the lowest approval rating of any vice president in US history.

“I’m curious: how much role, if any, do you think race and gender play in that?” asked ABC’s Linsey Davis of Joe Biden’s deputy.

“Well, there are polls that also say that I have excellent approval ratings.

I think the point that needs to be made is that there are attempts to create distractions to take us away from the achievements of our administration,” Kamala responded.

A report published this week by PolitiFact laid bare Harris completely and demonstrated his low level of acceptance among Americans.

“At the time the ABC News interview aired, the FiveThirtyEight average was 39.7% approving of Harris’ performance and 52.3% disapproving, for a net percentage of 12.6 points underwater.” wrote PolitiFact.

“Meanwhile, the most recent poll in which more people approved than disapproved of Harris’ performance was from October 2021 and that was over 100 polls ago.

That poll, conducted by Saint Leo University, found Harris above water by 2 percentage points, which was within the poll’s 3-point margin of error,” the publication continued.

PolitiFact then listed a series of recent polls showing his approval rating hovering between 39 and 42 percent, while disapproval hovers between 51 and 57.

Only black voters, according to an SSRS/CNN poll, seriously support Harris, at 72 percent. That wasn’t enough to save the vice president of PolitiFact’s Truth-O-Meter, which called Kamala’s claim about her popularity rating false.
