Karlsruher SC has extended the expiring contract of midfielder Jerôme Gondorf by one year until 2024. As reported by the Badener, this was done on the basis of a clause in the KSC captain’s contract. Gondorf had to play 17 games to activate the passage.

“I’m proud to be part of my heart and childhood club for another year. This is something very special. However, we must continue to do everything we can to stay up in the league in order to enable our fantastic fans to open the stadium in league two.”, the 34-year-old is happy about his extension. Gondorf comes from the youth of the KSC, after Bundesliga stations in Darmstadt, Bremen and Freiburg he has been back in the blue and white jersey since 2020.
