Speaking to the official Marvel website, Ke Huy Quan He said he was thrilled to be invited to join the cast of the second season of Loki.
“When I got that call, it was incredible. I was actually quite emotional. I was driving at the time when I got the call. I answered and heard, ‘Hi Ke, Kevin Feige here.’ He told me how much he loved Everything, Everywhere at Once and my performance, and when he asked me, ‘Ke, I want you to join the family,’ I had to say, ‘Kevin, can you give me two seconds?’ Since I couldn’t see the road, my eyes started to water. I pulled over, parked the car and said, ‘Kevin, can you say that again? Can you ask me that again?’ That was a moment I will always remember.”
“Now, you have to understand, I met Kevin 23 years ago on the set of X-Men. He was an associate producer at the time, and I was just an assistant action choreographer. I loved him back then. He was so smart and so I’m knowledgeable about this universe. I didn’t know much about the Marvel Universe.”
