Kev Adams: this scandalous comedy returns to Netflix

After the romantic comedy Happy We Year, this is another film with Kev Adams which is currently a hit on Netflix. Released in 2017, this comedy is now enjoying a second life on the streaming platform.

After ending January on a high note with the release of eight new releases, including the long-awaited documentary Pamela: A Love Story, netflix continues to spoil its millions of subscribers at the beginning of February. The comedy follows Ruben Jablonski, a naive young man and poor law student, who is repeating his last year of college. It is thanks to this that he meets the beautiful Nora, a student like him. But the young woman, whom he sees only once a week to help him revise, remains mysterious and inaccessible. Until the day he realizes that Nora is selling drugs for Mischka, a criminal. The latter, convinced by Ruben’s potential, offers him a mission to Amsterdam with Nora. Determined to impress the young woman, Ruben accepts. Whether gangster dam made a strong comeback on Netflix, landing in the Top 10 most viewed films in Francewe must not forget the controversy it had aroused when it was released in cinemas.

This line on the rape which had sparked controversy

Barely released in cinemas, the film gangster dam had sparked controversy, in particular because of a line from Durex, played by Côme Levin. “I was telling you about the cool rape. This sentence quickly made the spectators jump, but also certain politicians. The producer Alain Attal had meanwhile explained on a daily basis 20 minutes that “when Durex says rape is cool, it’s super funny because it’s waisted. It’s the trivialization of the madness of a guy who thinks that human relationships are necessarily extreme“.
