Although in the Country there are some attractions towards the commercialization of electric cars, since the owners of these are exempt from the payment of possession, as well as from verification during the first eight years, other nations offer attractive tax incentives.
For example, in the United States, for purchasing an electric vehicle, regardless of whether it is made in that country or not, there is an average tax deductibility of $7,500, an amount that varies depending on the state, reported Gerardo Gómez, director of JD Power in Mexico.
Similarly, in Germany the deductibility offered to the buyer and that he would recover when declaring his taxes is around 8,690 dollars (8,000 euros), said Gómez.
For the expert, in Mexico the electric vehicle was thought of in the past as a niche, but little by little it is beginning to be democratized, which is why more tax, credit and infrastructure benefits are going to be required for people to use them. can be purchased more easily.
Initially they should be sold at competitive prices, he stressed.
In the country, the average price of a car in general is 399,000 pesos, regardless of whether it is electric or internal combustion, so it should be sought that an electric one does not exceed that price by more than 20 or 30 percent. .
It is also necessary to have the charging infrastructure and that the stations are efficient and fast.
In other words, 80 percent of the charge can be reached in half an hour, since most establishments currently offer that percentage, but within a period of between three and four hours.
The use of electric vehicles opens the way to new technologies that are considered less polluting.
“We would be evolving faster to cleaner technologies and that benefit is in general, for the entire population, having fewer polluting emissions that helps.
“We have fewer pollutants on the one hand and on the other hand we have the new technology, that is, to be at the forefront that we would also have to align with the charging infrastructure for this to progress,” he concluded.
