The NBA has already revealed the schedule of all teams for the 2023-24 seasonwhich will undoubtedly be a challenge for players and coaches from the best league in the world.
The new NBA campaign will have important changes, first, it will be 82 games and not 80; second, the tournament in the middle of the regular calendar; and, third, two modifications to the rules of the game.
Another has to do with the challenge that coaches will have to face if the first review of play or collection they use is successful and the other with the sanction of basketball players who simulate fouls.
For this reason, LeBron James starts as the favorite to receive the first non-unsportsmanlike technical foul for simulating an offense in the NBA.
The star of the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James faces his twenty-first season in the NBA and equals a mark of Robert Parish, Dirk Nowitzki and Vince Carter.
Also in this season James would surpass the aforementioned trio, in their points averaged in season 21. Robert Parish, a Boston Celtics star who retired at 43, averaged 3.2; Dirk Nowitzki, figure of the Dallas Mavericks, had an average of 7.3 points; and the current leader in this area is Vince Carter, who went through several franchises, and averaged 7.4 points in his 21st season.
High expectations in the Lakers
Darvin Ham, DT of the Lakers, reiterated that his team could be a contender for the NBA title, by having experienced and young players on their roster who inject explosiveness into their actions.
“I think we are close to being a championship team. We have the lead of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and we were able to keep Rui Hachimura, Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell.”, Ham sentenced.
He also exalted the qualities of the Lakers players: “I think we added depth; a lot of guys who have ability, size and are athletes, so I hope all of that comes together.”he added.
Among the players who were able to join their squad are point guard Gabe Vincent, who came from the Miami Heat; forwards Cam Reddish and Taurean Prince; in addition to center Jaxson Hayes.
