On Monday morning, a man was swept away by a slab of snow in the area of the avalanche on Monday. He was unharmed.
After a slab avalanche on Sunday in the Juppenspitze, Fürmesli, open ski area in Lech, the circumstances of the avalanche at the scene of the event had to be surveyed by an avalanche expert and two alpine police officers on Monday morning. At around 10:30 a.m., a small slab of snow broke loose on the access road to the edge of yesterday’s avalanche at an altitude of 2,080 meters, which caught the avalanche expert and dragged about 50 meters along the surface. The man was not buried and was not injured.

Such surveys must be carried out as quickly as possible, since the snow conditions can change quickly due to the weather situation. Due to the current snow and avalanche situation with snowdrift transport that is very difficult to detect, the alpine police appeal to all alpine athletes to only carry out ski tours in open terrain after conscientious tour planning and with appropriate caution.
