RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol isn’t thinking of a move in the winter transfer window. In an interview with the Croatian TV channel ‘RTL’, the 20-year-old says: “It is now a matter of successfully completing the season, and the next six months are crucial for this”. The young star is currently “Don’t be in a hurry, I’m in Leipzig.” After the season you want to see “what will happen in the future”, according to the RB professional. The exit clause for the Croatian should not take effect until next summer at the earliest. His working paper runs until the summer of 2027.

Gvardiol almost ended up at Chelsea last summer. However, Leipzig really wanted to keep the central defender: “We chatted and they told me how much I meant to them. I was glad to hear that. I hope to spend these six months with them”, according to Gvardiol. The Blues are likely to make another attempt to sign the Croatian in the summer. But Manchester City, FC Bayern, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid also have the personnel on the screen.
