Two long-time Leipzig residents could turn their backs on RB in the summer. The ‘Sport Bild’ reports that right-back Lukas Klostermann (26) and midfielder Kevin Kampl (32) are already looking for possible alternatives. Both are contractually bound until 2024.
The competition for Klostermann and Kampl is tough, however, and the duo does not have an undisputed regular place in the starting XI. It would be a separation after many years – Klostermann has been wearing the RB jersey since 2014, Kampl came from Leverkusen in 2017 for 20 million euros.

Meanwhile, another goalkeeper could join the team. According to ‘Sport Bild’ those responsible tend to “To bring at least one strong goalkeeper to Gulacsi”. The Hungarian regular has been out since October with a cruciate ligament tear.
Janis Blaswich (31) and Örjan Nyland (32) are the current alternatives. Maarten Vandevoordt (20) will come to Leipzig from KRC Genk for ten million euros by 2024 at the latest. The Saxons could complete the transfer by clause next summer.
With Alexander Nübel (26), ‘Sport Bild’ brings another option into play at RB. The keeper, who was loaned to AS Monaco until the end of the season, definitely wants to switch to a top German club.
Staying at Bayern seems unlikely due to the tough competition for Manuel Neuer (36) and Yann Sommer (34). Leipzig can therefore “a serious option” become for Nübel.
