This blunder shouldn’t have happened…
Lena Meyer-Landrut (31) wanted to share her good mood with her fans in a completely relaxed manner. But as well-intentioned as the thought was, Lena didn’t hit the mark – not again. Because after a happy Holiday snapshot from the snowy mountains of Austria, Lena was now fooling around in the back seat of a car. And that’s exactly what her fans are now accusing her of:
“Lena, what about your role model function?”
The 31-year-old musician looks refreshingly exuberant and in high spirits as she films herself in the back seat of a Multivan for a new post on Instagram.
She laughs and sings and, despite jogging pants and neon-colored training jacket, looks like she’s been peeled from the egg in terms of style. The make-up is fresh, the hair is in place – but what some of the more than five million Instagram followers notice is that the ESC winner from 2010 not fastened while driving.

In fact, most of the comments call for Lena’s role model function: “There is a seat belt obligation. There may not be enough fatalities yet. Great role model.” writes a user. Another writes: “Always a role model for our youth when you’re sitting in the car with your seat belt buckled up. Great.”, also alluding to the lack of a seat belt.
But even if some of her followers see themselves as posting police and supposedly remind Lena that she should fulfill a certain duty of care in terms of being a role model with her public status, some fans also have a sense of humor and stand by Lena: ” Oh no, look. She made a minimal mistake. Please cancel it.”
Although the native of Hanover certainly knows that the seat belt was missing, it was probably not intentional. Because apparently Lena was driven to work and inadvertently forgot her seat belt in the hectic everyday work. But as the saying goes? The good Lord sees everything, your neighbors see more…
