Shortly after it became known that Lenier Mesa was in Cuba and circulate information that would get on the stage of the Santa María Music FestOtaola showed a conversation with the singer, where he denies his participation in the festival and refers to his reasons for being on the Island.
“Confirmed Lenier is in Cuba, at the service of Gaviota’s impudence and tourism promotion. This same person to whom the city of Hialeah paid a lot of money for the concert on July 4 and the same person who tried to muddy Willy Chirino , icon of freedom, singing with him,” Otaola wrote when sharing screenshots of the conversation.
“Yes, I’m here in Cuba. I came for a day,” was the response of the interpreter of “How do I pay you” to the presenter’s question.
“I took advantage of coming with 69 to see my grandfather here who gave me something in the face, but I’m leaving tomorrow. I don’t go to any festival at all, nor did I ask anyone for permission, I came and that’s it and they let me in” Lenier added, before assuring that “I didn’t come to sing or party.”
Then, from what can be seen in the images, there was a crossover of messages and reproaches.
Among the reactions that Otaola’s publication provoked in his followers is a comment from La Diosa, with whom Lenier launched the song last April “Cuba First”.
“He gave something to his face, my goodness, what is this, today they beat Maykel into a basement, what a lack of all that poor woman of his came out screaming, how sad,” he commented.
In the midst of criticism of Lenier for his trip to Cuba, Tekashi 6ix9ine asked for a noise for him from the stage of the Santa María Music Fest.
Before those attending the concert, the New York rapper said that Lenier was on the island but “for reasons” he couldn’t sing.
