The Brazilian Neymar Jr. was presented this Saturday by Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia, in the middle of a great celebration in the King Fahd stadium in Riyadh, capital of the Arab country.
In an event where the Moroccan Yassine Bono was also presented, the forward and the goalkeeper are the new two star signings of a Saudi club that had almost 60,000 spectators to witness the arrival of Neymar Jr. to Saudi football.
Neymar was the star of the night and his face was even projected on a hologram in the sky of the Saudi capital. Neymar said he was “very happy” with this “new challenge” in the Saudi league.
“We’re going to enjoy, We are going to be happy and I am going to do everything possible for this club“, Neymar assured in Spanish while a journalist translated into Arabic.
Neymar’s presentation was just before the match between Al Hilal and Al Fayha, but both Neymar and Bono will see it from the stands as they are not included in the lineup.
The Saudi team did not reveal the details of the Brazilian’s contract, but according to the newspapers L’Équipe and Le Parisien the deal includes around just over $98 million dollars for PSG and a two-year contract for Neymar, who would earn about $109 million dollars annually with an option to a third year.
Al Hilal is one of the most important Arab clubs, as it is the most winning team in the domestic league with 18 titles.
